Colonial Cooking

This beautiful kitchen, as featured on Channel 4’s, Double Your House for Half the Money, has been designed to be classically British. The farm house style mantle with oak lintel and the ceramic Belfast sink with bridge tap are iconic to this style. Complimentary oak chopping boards sit comfortably within the island and have been engraved with “Bread” and “Meat”. The personal touch of “James” and “Lucy” have been engraved on the reverse. To the right of the fridge/freezer is a larder cupboard with ample space for spices and jars as well as engraved drawers specifically for “Bread” and “Pasta”. In order to keep the room bright, the cabinets have been painted in Farrow & Ball ‘Purbeck Stone’ and ‘Colonial White’ granite, in a polished finish, have been used for the worktops. The ‘Wild Berry’ colour Stove range cooker is not only bold but picks out the purple flecks in the granite. Every detail really has been thoroughly thought through. Even the bevelled edged glass cabinet doors add detail and soften the solid doors and chunky mantle.
