A multifunctional spaceMud room and flower arranging room in one

Utilitarian rooms in the home must be well considered during the design phase, with practicality at the forefront of the design process.

The clients have two dogs and a son who loves to play sport. They also wanted to be able to use this space to enjoy their hobby of flower arranging.

It needed to be a space to throw off muddy boots, and it needed ample storage for hanging coats and shoes. We included a full height housekeepers cupboard, which housed the vacuum, cleaning products, and mop. Mirrored to the side was a full height storage cupboard, which was filled with flower arranging supplies, such as ribbon and vases.

Directly opposite, we incorporated a Belfast sink station with expansive worktops and an undercounter bin. We chose an accent backdrop to this area which was White Carrera marble. The integrated pot filler was a perfect addition, creating a practical flower arranging zone.

This bootroom formed part of a larger full home renovation project, which included a bespoke kitchen, an entryway, a cinema room, a master suite, and a guest bedroom.
