Georgian RenovationBalanced proportions & classic detailing

This design was all about marrying the client’s love of colour and pattern; Christopher Farr’s fabrics with an elegant design to fit into this beautifully curated Georgian home. The calming qualities of the soft blue island coupled with a blend of classic grey creates a harmonious space.

The grand larder cabinetry has been cleverly designed so that it is sunken into the wall to create more circulation space, and so it doesn’t overpower the overall aesthetic. The cabinetry was purposely kept lower to showcase the Kasuri wallpaper and ambient lighting.

A secret wine door through to the study adds a surprise to the space whilst seamlessly connecting the kitchen to the entertaining area, positioned next to the lavishly stocked drinks cabinet! Adjacent to this is the hidden walk-in pantry, concealed very cleverly as wall panelling, this was a bonus addition to the original design. This space has become invaluable to the clients whilst entertaining, becoming a secondary kitchen area.

Thoughtful design means that everything you need is within reaching distance on the island, and dinner guests can relax at the breakfast bar with a cocktail served from the bespoke drinks cabinet. The mantle area has been filled with antique mirror, finished with an antique brass trim, adding to the opulence of the room.
