Dating back to the early 1800s this converted barn has a vaulted ceiling with exposed beams and brickwork that run the length of the room. The design for this kitchen had to compliment these features and be sympathetic to the style of the overall home, creating a fabulous space for the family to cook and entertain in. The tall bank of cabinets makes the most of these high ceilings, hosting an impressive array of sleek Miele appliances. The lighter cabinetry compliments the darker hue of the island and the feature wall beyond. The brass fixtures and fittings coupled with the oak create a sense of warmth in the room.
Client Comment
Rachel took the time to understand our needs as a busy family to create a fully functional space. Using her creative vision, she managed to incorporate the unique period features within the kitchen. The craftsmanship Paul and Jordan used to scribe around original brickwork was incredible. We are thrilled with the result and look forward to working with Krantz again!
