After 15 years of building bespoke kitchens and cabinetry, Krantz have created some amazing commissions. None of this would be possible without an exceptional team of designers and some of the country’s very best carpenters.
As his name suggests, Jamie Krantz is in charge of things. Since starting Krantz Designs in 2004, he’s built it up to be the successful, innovative company you see today.
Handpicking the best designers and industry experts is one of Jamie’s secrets to success, along with his passion for joinery, design and making sure his clients are well looked after. One of Jamie’s favorite things – and the reason he’s so passionate about always providing the best possible designs – is the look on a client’s face when they see their beautiful new kitchen for the first time.
When he’s not working, you’ll find Jamie on the golf course, doing a spot of skiing or indulging his interest in motorbikes and fast cars – yes he’s one of those adrenaline junkies.
It’s no surprise Maria is our senior design manager – her understanding of colour and its ability to completely transform a room, has led to some stunning interiors for both our clients and in her own home. Maria loves to design spaces that require attention to detail. If you’re looking to add a touch of glamour with a bespoke, handcrafted bar or a beautiful dressing room – Maria is the woman you need to talk to. Perhaps her skill is down to her architecture degree and years of experience, or maybe – when designing a bar at least – it’s from the joy she gets sipping a smooth espresso martini on a Saturday evening. Wherever the inspiration comes from, Maria is one of our top design minds. When she’s not thinking of new ideas, you’ll find her marvelling at the great outdoors or nestled in a tent at her favourite campsite.
Rachel loves a challenge, and seeing a space for the first time she enjoys creating a beautifully designed kitchen that fits perfectly and exceeds clients’ expectations. In fact, the more challenging the space, the better as far as she’s concerned.
Being creative doesn’t start and end at work, though. At home, she loves to draw and paint, playing with textiles to come up with new ideas for fabric and colour combinations. The rich blue black Railings and the deep dark Studio Green are her top Farrow and Ball colours, both creating a strikingly beautiful finish.
Rachel also likes to use her creative streak in her own kitchen, turning her talents to cooking and baking. She also loves to watch live music, and spend time with her friends and family.
Jessica loves to be organised. In fact, getting up early and going to the gym is one of her favourite things to do, starting her day with energy and zest. She brings this philosophy to her work, blending her highly practical organisational skills with creativity and vision.
She loves the clean lines and symmetry of contemporary designs, mixing materials and exposed wood to create flawlessly original furniture concepts. Her BA (Hons) in Fine Art has given her a love for the unconventional and contrast – her favourite Farrow & Ball colours are the dramatic blue black Railings and the rich, cosy India Yellow.
Abstract art is one of her favourite pastimes, and she also enjoys travelling – a city break to Milan is always top of her list.
Bringing a room to life through beautiful design is what drives Lydia in her work. She loves to socialise, so creating spaces for friends and family to gather are her favourite projects. For her, it’s all about getting the atmosphere perfect for each room, instilling the right energy and emotion for the desired end result.
It’s why her favourite colour is Farrow & Ball Breakfast Room Green, a calming and soulful shade that offers the perfect peaceful start to the day. Her BA (Hons) in Fashion Design means she has a discerning eye for detail and intuitive knowledge of what good looks like.
She loves space of all kinds, so is often found outdoors in her spare time, hiking and mountain biking, or extending her skills into furniture restoration.
Make Roberto a nice cup of tea (milk, no sugar) and offer him a biscuit and he’s happy. But he believes the best tea is made in one of our beautiful, handcrafted kitchens, so he’s also happy to turn his extensive skills to that first.
With over 20 years’ experience, Roberto joined Krantz Designs in 2011, bringing with him a keen eye for detail and meticulous approach to every project.
A keen sports fan, he’s an avid Nottingham Forest supporter, and previously played cricket for Balderton CC.
The beauty of a Krantz kitchen is that each one is unique. And for Jordan, that’s a huge part of his job satisfaction. He loves the variety and creativity involved in producing our highly bespoke installations, knowing when he comes into work that no two jobs are ever the same.
His preferred material to work with is walnut, for its ease of carving, ability to keep its shape and its durability. Meanwhile, Farrow and Ball Stiffkey Navy is his choice of colour, a deep inky blue with a dramatic finish.
Outside work, he likes to enjoy the peace of fishing, the noise of football, and something of both with his family.
With a background in heritage carpentry at none other than Lincoln Cathedral, Paul brings a flair for quality and precision to his work at Krantz Designs. Multi-talented, he’s also a qualified sprayer and polisher, and cabinet maker, and ran his own heritage carpentry and joinery business before coming to work with us.
For Paul, it’s all about paying attention to the finer details, paying meticulous care to every single detail – never happy with simply doing a ‘good’ job, he makes sure every kitchen is a Krantz kitchen. He enjoys working with all kinds of materials, finding the right blend to create the ultimate end result.
While his work might be all about the indoors, his spare time is all about the great outdoors, with wild camping and survival top of his hobby list.
Crafting and creating the finest furniture is Roger’s passion, as he brings his practised eye to our bespoke products. A stickler for quality and detail, he cites customer satisfaction as the highlight of his work, knowing that the finished design is just what they’ve been looking for, and often more.
He particularly loves working with oak, with its distinctive look, attractive colour and strength and durability.
In his free time, Roger like to spend time with his family, walking his dog, cycling or listening to music.
