As his name suggests, Jamie is the Owner of Krantz Designs. The business was founded in 2004 and, since then, Jamie has built Krantz up from a small-scale kitchen design firm based in his garage to the company you see today.

Handpicking the best designers and industry experts is one of Jamie’s secrets to success, along with his passion for joinery, design, and making sure his clients are well looked after. One of Jamie’s favourite things – and the reason he’s so passionate about providing high-quality designs – is the look on a client’s face when they’re given the first tour of their beautiful kitchen.

Jamie oversees all operations at Krantz Designs, from initial concepts through to adding finishing touches in the workshop. When he’s not working, you’ll find him on the golf course, doing a spot of skiing, or indulging his interest in motorbikes and fast cars!

Maria began her journey at Krantz Designs in 2015 as a Junior Designer. Since then, she has worked her way through the ranks to Senior Designer, Senior Design Manager, Partner, and now Creative Director. Having managed well over one hundred bespoke designs from conception to completion, she is knowledgeable on every aspect of a Krantz kitchen.

Maria’s background in architecture is evident in her approach to kitchen design. She begins by considering how an individual will move within the space, and she works to create functional zones. Once she has determined an optimal layout, she develops stunning aesthetic concepts and bespoke details that elevate the space and curate it to the client’s unique preferences.

Maria loves to design spaces that require attention to detail. If you’re looking to add a touch of glamour with a bespoke, handcrafted bar or a beautiful dressing room, Maria is the woman you need to talk to.

Over the years, Maria has received many awards for her professional accomplishments, including Management Today’s 35 Under 35 Award and the Design et al Award for Best Kitchen Design.

Perhaps her skill is down to her architecture degree and years of experience, or maybe – when designing a bar at least – it’s from the joy she gets sipping a smooth espresso martini on a Saturday evening. Wherever the inspiration comes from, Maria is one of our top design minds.

When she’s not thinking of new ideas, you’ll find her marvelling at the great outdoors or nestled in a tent at her favourite campsite.

Jess studied fine art at Loughborough University, and her journey from an art student to a pivotal figure in interior design is nothing short of inspiring.

Jess had always known she wanted to work in design, but she only really began to consider interior design towards the end of her degree. She completed a work experience project at an interior design studio, which affirmed her decision. After a lot of industry research, she then reached out to Krantz Designs.

Her passion for interiors grew from there. Over her 5+ years at Krantz, she has progressed from a Design Assistant to Designer to Senior Designer. She is now our Design Manager and has worked on countless excellent projects

One of Jess’s favourite spaces to design is the Bootroom/Utility, as she finds satisfaction in making the traditionally “boring” rooms of the home beautiful too! She loves striking the balance between aesthetics and functionality.

Outside of the office, Jess can be found exploring new walks with her dog, or planning her next city break.

With a background in Fine Art, Kira has an eye for detail and thrives on creativity. Honing her interests in interior design during her Masters Degree allowed her to explore how a space can be best designed for the individual. She incorporates this focal point into her designs here at Krantz Designs.

Kira loves deep blues by Farrow & Ball. Black Blue and Railings are also some of her ‘go to’ brands because of their underlying calming effects and their ability to help us focus.

She’s a keen baker, often bringing her signature brownies into the showroom! Kira also puts her creative mind to tattoo designing in her spare time.

Make Roberto a nice cup of tea (milk, no sugar) and offer him a biscuit and he’s happy. But he believes the best tea is made in one of our beautiful, handcrafted kitchens, so he’s also happy to turn his extensive skills to that first.

With over 20 years’ experience, Roberto joined Krantz Designs in 2011, bringing with him a keen eye for detail and meticulous approach to every project.

A keen sports fan, he’s an avid Nottingham Forest supporter, and previously played cricket for Balderton CC.

Izzy is one of our newest Junior Designers at Krantz Designs. Bringing fresh energy and enthusiasm to her role, Izzy provides a unique perspective on team projects, while also managing smaller projects independently.

Izzy’s passion for luxury residential design and her love for homeware shopping steered her towards the kitchen design industry. After completing her BA (Hons) in interior design, she found her calling at Krantz, where she channels her love for home aesthetics into creating beautiful spaces for others.

Like many of our designers, Izzy engages in sculpting, painting, and other creative pursuits, such as playing the saxophone, in her spare time. She’s also an avid baker and cook, frequently treating friends and family to her delicious cookies and brownies.

Charleigh serves as the Assistant to the Finance Director at Krantz Designs. She plays a pivotal role in the financial management department, supporting our Finance Director with a range of tasks, from budget preparation to financial reporting.

Charleigh’s efficiency and organisational skills ensure smooth financial operations and, since she joined Krantz Designs in 2023, she has become an invaluable asset to the team.

With a background in heritage carpentry at none other than Lincoln Cathedral, Paul brings a flair for quality and precision to his work at Krantz Designs. Multi-talented, he’s also a qualified sprayer and polisher, and cabinet maker, and ran his own heritage carpentry and joinery business before coming to work with us.

For Paul, it’s all about paying attention to the finer details, paying meticulous care to every single detail – never happy with simply doing a ‘good’ job, he makes sure every kitchen is a Krantz kitchen. He enjoys working with all kinds of materials, finding the right blend to create the ultimate end result.

While his work might be all about the indoors, his spare time is all about the great outdoors, with wild camping and survival top of his hobby list.

Rachel loves a challenge, and seeing a space for the first time she enjoys creating a beautifully designed kitchen that fits perfectly and exceeds clients’ expectations. In fact, the more challenging the space, the better as far as she’s concerned.

Being creative doesn’t start and end at work, though. At home, she loves to draw and paint, playing with textiles to come up with new ideas for fabric and colour combinations. The rich blue black Railings and the deep dark Studio Green are her top Farrow and Ball colours, both creating a strikingly beautiful finish.

Rachel also likes to use her creative streak in her own kitchen, turning her talents to cooking and baking. She also loves to watch live music, and spend time with her friends and family.

Gary brings an incredible wealth of experience to Krantz Designs, with over 40 years in the woodwork industry under his belt.

Since joining the team in 2022 as a Wood Machinist, Gary has been an indispensable asset, expertly machining panels and solid wood components with precision and care. Gary’s extensive background in carpentry has equipped him with a varied knowledge of most timbers and a comprehensive understanding of all manner of machines and techniques.

Gary’s favourite thing about working at Krantz is the team camaraderie. The blend of having a laugh while getting down to business creates a great working environment that he thoroughly enjoys. He also loves the satisfaction of seeing the finished product brought to life, and reading glowing reviews from customers is immensely rewarding for him.

Outside the workshop, Gary loves exploring new places. When he’s not travelling, he indulges in quieter pursuits, such as reading and solving crosswords, offering him a perfect balance to his hands-on work. In the kitchen, his favourite feature is the air fryer – a testament to his appreciation for innovative features that make everyday life a little bit easier!

Paul is a relatively new addition to the Krantz Designs team, bringing with him extensive experience in his field. Paul’s career in carpentry began when he left school and began working for a firm that built staircases. This background equipped him with a profound understanding of the materials and the craftsmanship required to transform raw wood into beautiful, functional pieces.

At Krantz, Paul’s day-to-day responsibilities involve cutting sheet materials and planing rough sawn timber – tasks that are crucial in the early stages of any project.

His favourite thing about working at Krantz is the dynamic and friendly team environment and the variety of challenges that bespoke projects pose. These challenges not only keep his work fresh and interesting, but also enable him to continuously hone his skills.

Outside the workshop, Paul leads an active and varied life. He’s an avid gardener and he also designs and builds bespoke features for his garden. Travel and football are among his other pursuits, alongside long walks that allow him to appreciate the great outdoors. Paul also loves netball, a passion fuelled by his daughter’s professional involvement in the sport. Through these activities, Paul finds balance and inspiration, which he brings back to his craftsmanship at Krantz Designs.

Elaine is one of our detail-orientated cabinet painters, adding the final touches that bring each of our kitchens to life. Whether it’s a kickboard or a key feature, Elaine treats every component and piece of furniture with the utmost degree of care and attention to detail.

Elaine loves working alongside skilled and passionate individuals, and she thrives in Krantz’s collaborative working environment, where everyone’s dedication to excellence mirrors her own. This sense of community and shared purpose makes every project a rewarding experience for her.

Outside of the workshop, Elaine keeps herself busy. From country walks to mountain biking and spin classes, Elaine is always on the move. She also values the time spent catching up with friends and family, and she has a special talent for upcycling furniture, giving old items a new lease of life. Her passion for furniture is reflected in her work.

Kieran is a skilled Paint Sprayer at the Krantz Designs Workshop, where he has been adding the final touches to our projects for several years.

Kieran’s journey with paint spraying began when he was just 17, marking the start of a career that now spans almost a decade. Throughout this career, his dedication and hard work have not gone unnoticed, earning him awards for his commitment and consistent attendance.

Kieran takes immense pride in his contributions to our projects, especially his work on the Krantz Showroom and the award-winning Stamford Project, where his team’s expertise in painting and spraying was instrumental in ensuring our cabinetry had a flawless finish.

Outside of the paint booth, Kieran is an enthusiastic football fan and he also enjoys fishing, embracing both the excitement of the game and the tranquillity of the waterside. His favourite feature in the kitchen is, unequivocally, the fridge – a reflection of his love for food!

The beauty of a Krantz kitchen is that each one is unique. And for Jordan, that’s a huge part of his job satisfaction. He loves the variety and creativity involved in producing our highly bespoke installations, knowing when he comes into work that no two jobs are ever the same.

His preferred material to work with is walnut, for its ease of carving, ability to keep its shape and its durability. Meanwhile, Farrow and Ball Stiffkey Navy is his choice of colour, a deep inky blue with a dramatic finish.

Outside work, he likes to enjoy the peace of fishing, the noise of football, and something of both with his family.

Winston’s contribution to team morale at Krantz Designs cannot be understated.

Known for his boundless energy, infectious enthusiasm, and his expertise in tail-wagging, he is everyone’s favourite colleague!
